Introduction for vectors:
Vector algebra is widely used in the study of certain type of problems in Geometry, Mechanics, Engineering and other branches of Applied Mathematics. Physical quantities are divided into two categories
· scalar quantities
· vector quantities
Scalar: A quantity which has only magnitude is said to be a scalar. It doesn't have any fixed direction or space.
Vector: A quantity which has both magnitude and direction is said to be a vector.
Examples on vector: momentum, force, velocity, acceleration, weight etc.
Types of Vector

Zero or Null Vector
Unit vector
Collinear or Parallel vectors
Coplanar vectors
